Ways to Give

The Alcove donors a broad range of opportunities to make charitable gifts.

Annual Giving Program

The Alcove’s Annual Giving Program offers donors the opportunity to establish an annual gift making relationship with the organization. Annual gifts, both unrestricted and restricted, provide ongoing financial support for many services and programs offered to the community by The Alcove.

Unrestricted gifts are those not designated for a specific purpose, therefore allowing The Alcove administration and Board of Trustees to determine where there is a greatest need for funds. Restricted gifts are usually designated by the donor for specific programs.

Major Gifts

Our  Major Gifts program is another opportunity for donors to support special programs and projects.

As the demand for bereavement and grief services increases, The Alcove has an even greater need to receive significant funds through Major Gifts ($5,000 or more) for programs or restricted endowments.

Those who want to financially support The Alcove’s ongoing commitment to offering the highest quality of bereavement and grief support services in the region, can provide perpetual income to endow any of our programs with a major gift.

Major gifts can be pledged over five years and/or fulfilled through payments of cash or appreciated property such as stock.

The Partners in Healing Society

Provides donors with the opportunity to make a gift to honor or memorialize a special friend or relative.

The Alcove Legacy Society

Open to anyone who includes The Alcove in their estate plans.

Premier Events

The Alcove also hosts two premier events each year that provide opportunities for support through participation and sponsorships.  Our “Sundaes on Sunday” event will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Linwood Park, Linwood.  The Mary Beth Davis Annual Golf Classic will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at the Mays Landing Golf & Country Club, Mays Landing.

Each year The Alcove receives funding through corporate and foundation grants that support our programs and services for grieving children and families

*It is the policy of The Alcove Center for Grieving Children and Families that 5% of restricted gifts and up to 10% of special events revenue is allocated for unrestricted purposes which may include administrative and operational expenses.
