Bereavement Peer Support Groups<\/h3>\n

The Alcove offers activity-based peer support for children, teens and adult caregivers who are grieving the death of a loved one.<\/p>\n

Our Grief and Loss Family Nights of Service happen biweekly on Thursdays for children (ages 3 & up) and adults who have experienced a death of a loved one.<\/p>\n

School Outreach Programs (For children & teens affected by substance use, grief, domestic violence and Trauma)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Peer support groups conducted in schools in high risk areas for children unable to attend group at our\u00a0 Center. Fun, age-appropriate activities provide children\/teens with a safe environment in which to explore the many thoughts and feelings associated with grief and trauma. The groups are facilitated by an professionals and provide support and psychoeducation. This group meets for 6-8 weeks.<\/p>\n

Individual and Family Therapy<\/h3>\n

The Alcove offers individual and family therapy for those working through feelings associated with grief and loss, trauma, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. All therapeutic services will be rendered by licensed professionals.<\/p>\n

We offer in-person and virtual therapy services.<\/p>\n

Family Engagement Program<\/h3>\n

Igniting, transformation, and restoration for families affected from substance use. Services offered are individual and family therapy, grief services, and visitation services.<\/p>\n

Visitation Program<\/h3>\n

The Alcove provides two types of visitations decided by the authorizing entity.\u00a0 All visitations will be documented and a closing summary will be provided to requesting authority.<\/p>\n

Supervised Visitation<\/strong><\/p>\n

Supervised visitation is where an appointed staff member will act as a monitor to assure the safety of all individuals.\u00a0 The monitor will allow the parent and child to bond in a safe and nurturing environment.<\/p>\n

Therapeutic Visitation <\/strong><\/p>\n
